Vegetables are very good for us. They provide vitamins, fiber and minerals that support our bodies. Often children don’t like to eat vegetables. This book is a fun way to introduce young children to this very important part of their diet. It includes examples of different types of vegetables – leaf vegetables (i.e. spinach), pod vegetables (i.e. peas), seed vegetables (i.e. lentils), root vegetables (i.e. beets), flower and bud vegetables (i.e. artichokes). Veggies Don’t Scare Me is written in a fun rhyme format to encourage children to try the many vegetables available to them.
